What’s stopping you?

Prudence Mabhena, the subject of Roger Ross Williams’ Oscar-winning documentary, Music by Prudence, should have given up a long time ago. But she didn’t. And the world is a more blessed place because of it.

What’s keeping you from being the blessing to the world that you are meant to be?

Read about Music by Prudence at the movie’s website.

I was introduced to this video by Jeunesses Musicales, “the largest youth music NGO in the world, created in Brussels, Belgium in 1945 with the mission to “enable young people to develop through music across all boundaries”, via Twitter (@jminetwork).

For sure. If happiness is absent from where we are, we should be moving toward where we see it being. Of course it’s the “moving toward” part that’s hard.

But isn’t that the point. The easy way is to sit back and let life happen. Take what it gives you. It’s hard to step out on a limb. Especially when everything in our culture tells us to put our heads down and keep moving in the same direction as everyone else and be happy with what you have.
